Song Parodies -> Recordings -> Matthias, 'Titanic' Comments

Apr 20
a parody of "Paint It Black" by The Rolling Stones
The actually GOOD theme to the Titanic movie (Too bad it's 11 years too late).

I just checked the stats over at badave.com dude, and wanted to let you know that this one probably won't break the one day record, but so far it's got the second highest one day total for a debut song--I may have forgotten to do the stats yesterday (in fact I almost had to) but even for a two day total, this one is blowing the other you've posted away thus far statistically, I predict it being number one no later than the end of my Birthday tomorrow.

My POTQ comment is that we still have a ways to go Matty boy--but a marked improvement over your other work and perhaps as importantly, it continues to be strong over at my site where you have focused most of your advertising.

Sorry, Matthias, but this one really didn't do it for me.

Celine Dion sounds like an alley cat with its tail on an electric fence, out in a major thunderstorm. Everything she does is so wretchedly godawful and sickening I didn't even see the film for a number of years. When I did, I found it pretty overlong and boring - traits that your parody doesn't have. Oh well, you can always see the movie with the remote to silence the crap music and you can watch Kate Winslet ; )

Yep SoB, Celine Dion's music and James Cameron's directing pale in comparison to your accomplishments in life as an anonymous critic with your boring comments which probably match your drab existence in this world. So how many music awards have you won and which of your films grossed $3 billion? Take my advice and shut up right now. Go crawl back under your rock you poor excuse for a human being.

I was praising the parody and Mattias' writing skills, so chill OK? The number of awards is no indication of quality. In 1981 Christopher Cross got a heap of awards but where is he now (and I think his music is alright)? In 1983 Toto had a clean sweep and I thought they were OK too but they kind of vanished. The Rolling Stones got ONE Grammy - we know about them, don't we? I also like James Cameron's directing in several other films. Nobody is always perfect in what they dish out, I ain't. We're all critics. Michael Jackson's "Thriller" sold over 65 million copies, an all-time high. Some people I knew in the service thought MJ's "Off the Wall" was better. To each their own, I got both albums. As for a film grossing $3B, that's no certification that it's a good movie. "50 Shades of Gray" supposedly had a record debut earnings but that don't mean I have to see it. I don't like its subject matter, that crap ain't my cup of java and I got freedom of choice as we all do. Don't be a sheep and eat up everything the Little Tin Gods push on us. Have a good evening.
