Great song. I actually heard that there's a Monopaly tournament on a moving train. They'd hold it in a better place, but Steve's mom is getting the carpet replaced in the basement.
hey, I just ruined the webpage! :D
Static: Thanx for your comment, even though it got deleted for stretching out the site. Stock: Sorry, man, but that sailed right over my head. Steve's mom?
Speaking as a lifelong New Jerseyan, I gotta say... The Bada Bing? What are you, a comedian? Oh, wait, you are. Of course. In that case... Go to the feds. Go directly to the feds. Do not pass the Bada Bing, or you will collect two hundred slugs.
"Static: Thanx for your comment, even though it got deleted for stretching out the site." Now I'm saving THAT one on my hard drive! :D
I grew up in AC, working on the Boardwalk - excellent excellent excellent parody!!
Thanks, Michaelopedia and Dave. It's always nice getting comments from the Marvin Gardens State.
WOW! COOL! AWESOME! NEAT! EXCELLENT! KILLER! SWEET! And it's not a rumor. It's named after Atlantic City Streets! I enjoy all of your recordings!!!
Thanx, TJ. Since you like Robert Lund's recordings of my parodies, I would tell you to pick up the new CD "Elves Gone Wild!" (at www.elvesgonewild.com) - but that would be a shameless plug, so I'll resist saying it.
That was terrific, Spaff! Have you ever thought of recording your own parodies? You don't need old Rob! Lol, just kidding, Rob! Your singing was excellent!
Thanx, YWN. And I fully intend to keep badgering RL until he has me whacked.
Ha! I used to play Monopoly as a kid long before I heard the original song, so whenever I heard it on the radio, my thoughts just couldn't help drifting back to the "Boardwalk" of Monopoly. I guess I should have considered the possibility of making a parody like this, but I just never got around to it. I really like your parody though, especially since it expresses so perfectly what makes board games like Monopoly so fun. (You get both the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat in one song!)
This year is Monopoly's 70th Anniversary! (Parker Brothers patented the game in 1935.)
