Song Parodies -> Recordings -> Spaff.com, 'The Wreck of Ben Affleck and J. Lo' Comments

Oct 8
a parody of "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot
Geez, after all the effort we expended to make fun of them, you'd think they'd have the common decency to stay separated. Sang by - Robert Lund

Tell that Lund guy he should be beggin' you to write stuff for him to record. Seriously, I liked this so much I had to look up the original lyrics. Dude, you kicked Gordon Lightfoot's ass; that fool could hardly rhyme at all. Really, I just want to make it clear how great I think some of these lines are. Oh yeah, I'm supposed to be commenting on the recording part--real good, sounded just like him.

My God, this is amazing! Plus, the transfer to Rocky Racoon was even better in the recording lol

Thanks, Philbo & C4P & BF. I wish I had Robert Lund's talent.

The quality of imitation was absolutely perfect, but I don't think I know nearly enough about the couple to have gotten half the references in the song. Oh well, was still good.

Spaff, I wish I had his talent, too - then I would rule the WORLD!!! Mwhahahahaahahahaha....

Derrick: Sounds like you need to spend more time watching "Access of Evil" - um, I mean "Access Hollywood."
Philbo: Don't you already?

Not in quality of performance... there's a difference in scale: mine's sort of middling-amateur- that was sheer professionalism.

Philbo: What I meant was: Don't you already rule the WORLD?!
Ghetto: To quote the immortal Corey Hart, "Never Surrender." Keep the funny stuff a-comin'!

Congratulations Mr. Lund. You made me laugh out loud. Again! I've always been a fan of weird Al, but he has serious competition now. Great song. I recomend that everyone listen to it at least once.
