The Lyrics

You know this song...it's from the boat ride in the movie. They all go into this dark tunnel and Willy Wonka starts acting all strange...inspiration is weird that way...
There's no earthly way of plying
Which direction we are flying
There's no doubt that Dubya's lying
But, which lie is he applying?
Is he feigning? Is he trying?
Does he see his people crying?
Not a single tear is drying
From the soldier's that are dying
Are the fires of hell a-frying
While the Chief Commander's lying?
Yes! The danger's multiplying! (November! November!)
For the liars keep on lying (November! November!)
And there is no justifying (November! November!)
All the means that he is trying! (November! November!)

Dude, the soldiers wouldn't have joined the army if they weren't willing to die for their country. It's okay to feel sad for them, but it's their job. Good parody, though. Nice timing and such.

I guess Lesser Extent hasn't heard George S. Patton: "The object of war is not to die for your country, but to make the other bastard die for his." Only 198 more days until we do our duty and get that (expletive deleted) out of our White House!

Excellent stuff, Syncronos: all you've got to do now is get Gene Wilder to record it :-)

Lesser Extent...yes, it IS a soldier's job to fight and die for their country if need be. But should these soldiers be dying because Bush picked a fight with Iraq to try and cover up the massive 'Frequently Unnoticed Crucial Knowledge Ultimatley Perceived?' Take the first letters of those six words, and you've got Bush's Iraqi effort

Whatever. I'm sorry if I came off as rude there. But Kerry says that he'll send the UN in, which is absurd, because we know how well the UN does with these kinds of problems. And now he's saying that he'll send more troops if need be (at least that's what the USA today says.) So, what is Kerery going to do different than Bush in Iraq? It's obvious he's not going to have us leave...at least not yet. Note that I don't really like Bush a whole lot, but I don't like Kerry either...
