Superb job as usual from the master of parody. I heartily congratulate you for tackling this operatic work with such challenging rhythms and metre. If I might be so bold Phil, just wondered... Do you think the start of verse two should rhyme? If so, how about ' The heroine's weighs a ton Must draw a pension. What do you think? Anyway congratulations.

Thanks, Phil - you're probably right, in that your couplet rhymes better.. OK and is a bit wittier, too (and I've just noticed a typo in those lines.. surprised nobody noticed and said "fifty"-FIFY). Nearly ten years ago.. I feel old :)
