Someone's little sticky hands
Are slimy, cold and wet
And they've been playing in their food
Their hands aren't washed as yet
They just can't sit and eat their food
There is no reason why
But when I happened to look down
I saw something on my tie!

Their hands are never tired

Their fingers small and tiny
It seems they were born to spill
When you've got four small children
Well that fact you cannot hide
As I was getting in my car
I saw something on my tie

Is it Kool-Aid or Spaghettio's?
Whatever it is, it shows
Will it wash out, or stain my clothes?

Every time I'm near them,
I'm as nervous as a cat!
They've got messes everywhere,
And even where they sat!
They love to familiarize,
They touch everything
And even if I stop them,
They leave behind a stain

I need to learn to embrace them
Cause every day's the same
Remember every kid is special
And all my ties are stained
So I should put my tie on straight
Yeah, show it off with pride
Besides, that lashing out in anger
Will just stain your insides
