I'm not from the South but ... what's your argument that it is so obvious that Alabama is NOT the best team in the country that anyone who would think so is stupid. At the moment they are undefeated in the conference that has won the BCS title game seven years in a row. That trumps being undefeated in the Big Ten I'm afraid, as the Big Ten last won the BCS in 2003 -- although I will grant you, that was a great, great win by Ohio State
