"Spy On US"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

It just isn't good enough for the US Govt to spy on American citizens visually with UAVs, so now they also deploy Cessna Aerial Stingrays to spy on cell phones, acting as flying cell phone towers!!!
“Aerial Stingray's”* are up,
Just to spy on us Cits**,
dummy cell phone site to monitor
… another Gov trick!
IDs, map grids,
con-ver-sa-tion hits, (just another)
dragnet surveillance air blitz!!!

Didn't want us to know,
because we "might" flip our lids,
Gov loves to spy on us Cits!

It mimics...
It mimics...

[Just gets us all riled up and pissed]
* Aerial Stingrays= Cessna prop aircraft used to spy on American cell phones. Stingray is the tech and the Cessnas used are : F04 (UK), Caravan and Turbo Skylane JT-A (US)
** Cits= Citizens

You should give some credit to the surveillance state for keeping you safe. Balancing privacy and protection is the major moral conflict of a free society. If snooping is used illegally, call it out. You haven't made the case that it is "just to spy on us Cits."

Realist, traditionally, it has been the US spyng on our enemies and friends alike with aerial recon- not Americans at the present level of technological military spin off usage. I live in California where cameras are everywhere, so UAVs loitering overhead are annoying. Aerial Stingrays just make matters worse as they deliberately mimic cell towers to map and track cell users over long ranges without proper authority. There is no oversight concerning how the data is categorized and used by the Federal Govt, Homeland Security, and local law enforcement. I have a neighbor who bought a $1000 drone to spy on my neighborhood. I am thinking about writing to Rheinmetall AG of Germany to see if they will loan me a 50Kw laser to shoot it down!!!

Most of the announced "successes" in the war on terror have involved the FBI setting up some mark, then providing him with an inert weapon in order to make the bust. When the government spies on everyone they can't possibly single out the relatively few problem people who need watching. I wouldn't be surprised if the NSA was monitoring our political and social parodies and building a file on those who make too many references to weapons systems, criticize the President, or who express dissatisfaction with the economy or other issues.

It won't be long until Neighborhood Watch has drones!
