The Lyrics
In the 2005 Family Guy episode "Fast Times at Buddy Cianci Jr. High", there was a cutaway gag parodying the TV show Oz which showed prisoners singing a parody of a song from The Wizard of Oz. I've expanded that into a full song, using the original verse from the cutaway gag as part of the lyrics. I've done something like this before, expanding the lyrics to "Where Everything Has Stayed the Same" (from the Ferns segment of a Bill Nye the Science Guy episode about dinosaurs) based on the extended version of the Cheers theme "Where Everybody Knows Your Name", and making two parodies of Aerosmith's "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" incorporating lyrics from AT&T/DirecTV ads that aired during the 2017 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament. Here I used the full version of "Merry Old Land of Oz" as the basis for this parody, Credit to Seth MacFarlane for the inspiration to this and the original cutaway gag. Note that this is a joke song and does not accurately describe what goes on in the show, which was the point of the original cutaway gag.
