The Lyrics

I salute and bow to the greatest amiright machine since John A. Barry and Malcolm Higgins (f*ck William Tong, I hope he hasn't died). These guys (this guy?) are funny and sooo fearless that I salute them (him). And at this rate of submissions, they'll displace John A. Barry in 9 months. ;D

O-ho yes! They're the Great Offenders.
The new guys here at the site.
They're bold and they're brash, and they do not talk trash.
We like their stuff on amiright.

O-ho yes! They're the Great Offenders,
Prolific beyond any scale.
Their body of work brings a laugh and a smirk
And makes all the faint of heart quale!

The subjects they use in their parody binge
Makes us at the same time both chuckle and cringe

O-ho yes, they're the Great Offenders.
They post ten songs in a day!
To shock they try, they write 'bout Princess Di,
But there is one thing I must say -
I would not have it no other way!

(Return to bridge)

They'll score all of us when we write a good song.,
But they are so cool - how can they get it wrong?

O-ho yes. They're the Great Offenders.
And I like the stuff that the do.
They are so brash - they can rip you an *ss
I like them, so give them a pass.
I'll never be put in their class.

Salut, guys. Keep it up. ;D

Since I submitted this, I have found that The Offenders is a single (and singularly funny) individual. Keep writing! ;.D

A good parody. I've been too busy to keep MY hand in and write more than a parody once in a while, but I like to comment and I had to check your stuff out (you used to be a newcomer to us too) but you write good stuff.

Good tribute - haven't read many of his/her parodies yet but I've enjoyed the ones that I have.

I agree, this guy/gal these guys/gals are great. And I don't take offense at being called a "machine." Just don't call me a "tool."

A mellow and touching tribute to The Great Offenders. I've only v/c'd on few of their parodies so far, but I'll get to know them a little more overtime. I hope they keep on writing here on AIR. I salute 5's to those Offenders and yourself as well, OMR! Great as always! :)

I have a personal thing against any one author posting more than a couple of songs a day, maybe three at the most, because it crowds out the home page and reduces visibility for the rest of us. So I don't generally read them, or maybe just one. But that's strictly a personal opinion, and certainly not binding on anyone else. Just explaining why I haven't read that author.

FWIW, AFW and alvin got to the 1600-1700 parody mark, behind only John, Malcolm, and TSB (with Mike P. in between), almost never posting more than one or two a day, but doing so with amazing consistency for years. .... also, IMHO, prefer quality over quantity. Pay no attention to the turtle behind the carapace curtain.

OMR - I am truly honored, and I tip my cap to you for such a fine rendition. TT - sorry for your "personal thing". Really not interested in having a high number of plate apperances, more in the batting average. And as for consistency in years, well, lets just say I started writing back when Gerald Ford was POTUS. But don't worry, just like Osama I'll disappear under my rock once more until, like a good stiff one, the spurts of creativity start flowing again...

Being a turtle, with an appropriate life span, I started writing when Abraham Lincoln was POTUS. Why, I was there when he said, "Fore skin and seven beers ago....

Really do like your way with words -- the last comment was in a well-defined, if slightly blue, vein, so there might be something seminal throbbing in your head. Will have a look or two. although DKTOS of almost all. Cheers.
