Song Parodies -> "Stop Your Lazy Living"

Original Song Title:

"Up The Lazy River"

Original Performer:

The Mills Brothers

Parody Song Title:

"Stop Your Lazy Living"

Parody Written by:

Old Man Ribber

The Lyrics

I've been very busy these last eight weeks, but now the wait is over. I am officially retired and ready to write more than cheeky pithy reviews.

Stop your lazy living - time to write a song
You haven't posted something for way too long
'Though you have been writing lots of cute reviews
This is surely no time you can take a snooze
You retired from teaching on October First
Write some songs or you will be forever cursed
Come on Old Man Todd! Move your creaky bod!
Time for Mr. Ribber to get back in the fight
Time to get back on amiright.

That's my conscience talking - it won't give me peace
It calls me to come back to my fun release
I slowed down for eight weeks - the whole world went wrong
Time for Old Man Rib to zap it with a song
Tommy and F.G. wrote a whole Broadway score
Now there's no excuse why I can't write some more
No more slacking off! Turn your head and cough!
Crazy Old Man Ribber is writing once again
Glad I'm back here, all of my friends

A song a day keeps the Reaper away! ;D

I can relate to that. I got to start writing parodies again, but I just couldn't find the time. Either I'm too lazy or I got serious parody writers' block! Hey, that should also be my song! LOL! 5's.

With all of that pressure off, the inspiration from the goings-on in this crazy world should bombard you with new ideas. But do take a walk once in a while and take time to smell the roses. 555

Happy to have been of inspiration -- but would you mind not aiming your pith in my direction? :) ... and LOL at other-song-topical-ref "move your creaky bod"! Move yer bloomin' arse, OMR!
