The Lyrics

Let's see if I got this right. The US GOP primaries of 2016 are basically down to a two man race. One is Ted Cruz who really believes in the return of Christ at the end of times, prays daily for Armageddon to happen in his own lifetime and wouldn't hesitate as president to start a nuclear war to speed things up.

And the other one is Donald Trump, whom pundit media says we should all be afraid of!

A YouTube version of the original song can currently be found here.
A self-made man's emerging
The standard field he's purging
In all the polls he's surging
It's Donald Trump's campaign

He trampeled Jeb with power
He's gaining by the hour
He'll Hillary devour
Watch Donald Trump's campaign

Jock – Rocks – Knocks

Obama he'll be booting
He's gonna put down Putin
On ISIS he'll be shooting
Says Donald Trump's campaign

He looks like he'll be winning
Despite all media spinning
And Hitler label-pinning
On Donald Trump's campaign

(BONUS VERSE)

The pundits get a licking
Cos what they spew ain't sticking
They havent got a fricking
To Donald Trump's campaign

No, it's not quite down to a two man race as Sen Marco Rubio of Florida and Governor John Kasich of Ohio are in and hoping to win delegates from their home States. If Trump or Cruz beat them, they should get out, but both seem to think they can move on which mathematically will be impossible to get to magic 1237. I guess they're hoping on a brokered convention in July. Trump would still win by delegates as long as Cruz wins fewer States and comes in largely second in the last states that proportionally allocate delegates. Btw, 555!

Coming on the heels of the "sucker punch" by a 78 year-old idiot-thug, Friday night's violence in Chicago spells the end of Trump's campaign. His hard core of red-neck supporters will remain, but anyone who leaned toward him will now be frightened by the violence he generates with his words. Sanders, on the other hand, talks revolution to big crowds, refuses to disavow praise of Castro and Ortega in the 80s, and yet everybody is peaceful, has a good time, and there are no shouts of "Commie!" Trump is sui generis in his authoritarian macho and simplistic appeal to low-information losers.
The RNC must be going crazier right now. I knew there was a good chance of blood flowing in Cleveland. Now I'm not even sure Trump will be in Cleveland or that there will be a party that calls itself Republican.
Bernie is not going to be nominated, but he has started a rhetoric which uses socialist memes and when he's very old his program will be carried on by younger people. I don't know where this leaves Establishment figures like Hillary, but she sure looks obsolete against the red-hot anger we saw Friday night.

Actually, the opposite may occur. This may increase Trump's followers as a great many people will see this as an attempt by left wing radicals to shout down the opposition. And then they'll have the unmitigated gall to say this proves how divisive TRUMP is. This too-clever-by-half crap has backfired on liberals before. Perhaps you're too young to remember 1968, when a party that had won the Presidency in a landslide in '64 lost to a guy named Richard Nixon

Let's deal with the important issues, as parodists..... Great use of the OS! (the real situation seems like a nightmarish expansion of our prior TO city-council fiasco). The sec code is SKS; I take that as short for "succeeds". 5s.

SKS= Samozaryadnyj Karabin sistemy Simonova. Everyone knows this Herr Doktor (at least everyone with extensive firearms knowledge)!

^ Completely unnecessary and trivial bit of the usual weapons pedantry from Herr Arndt, amounting to an egregious, personal putdown.
Rob Arndt - March 13, 2016 - Report this comment
Btw, SKS as Security Code would read Success, not Succeeds!!! Or derogatory Sucks!

OK. You have the last word.

I'm certainly no Trump-for-Prez supporter--I've written two anti-Trump parodies already--but this one made me laugh. A tad shaky on a line or two, but so what? 555. I hope Trump, if he has any decency, stands before the RNC and says it was all a big practical joke gone wrong.
