The Lyrics

I did this tune three years ago, but didn't post it on the occasion of Mother's Day, or under this title. And to keep this from being a bogus submission, I also added a Mother's Day greeting to Susanna Viljanen, our phenomenal, funstering Finn
My love is a type of "Complex" one (lolz, Mom)
I tore out my eyes o'er you

*(Jocasta bop)
(Jocasta bop)
(Jocasta bop)
(Jocasta bop)
(Jocasta bop)

Are the stars out tonight? (Jocasta bop)
I don't know if it's cloudy or bright (Jocasta bop)
I tore out my eyes o'er you

(Jocasta bop)

The truth may be nigh (Jocasta bop)
Guess I slew Pops on a road near Delphi (Jocasta bop)
I no longer have eyes for you

I don't know if I'm in the palace
Or on a Delphic avenue

(Jocasta bop)

You are dead, I am blind (Jocasta bop)
Hope the gods let this plague pass Thebes by (Jocasta bop)
As the abomination fades from their view
And I tore out my eyes
O'er YOU-U-U-U-U-U!

(Jocasta bop)
(Jocasta bop)
(Jocasta bop)

(Now that that's over with. let's move on to Mother's Day greetings to Susanna Viljanen, sung to the tune of "Susie Q" by Credence Clearwater Revival)

Oh, Susie V
Oh, Susie V
Oh Susie V, your posts are slaying me
Susie V

I love your pace the most
I love the things you post
I love your pace the most
I love the things you post
Susie V

You say that you're a Finn
You say that you're a Finn
You say that you're a Finn
You always make you grin
Susie V

You say you dislike Fred
You say you dislike Fred
You say you dislike Fred
You're not upset he's dead
Susie V

I hate the folks you drub
I like the words you sub
I hate the folks you drub
I like the words you sub
Susie V

O-O-AH, Susie V
O-O-AH, Susie V
O-O-AH, Susie V, your posts are slaying me
Susie V
*Jocasta is the queen of Thebes who weds Oedipus, not knowing at the time he was her son

There are bayous in Finland, Susanna? ...... Actually, the link between your name and Suzie Q came to me a few weeks ago, and after that, the question that remained was "What would be the the best time to present this; how about Mother's Day -- providing she actually is a mother of course.

"I tore out my eyes for you" is an inspired reading of the Oedipus tale. A nice, old fashioned parody, and an original song I actually know.

Actually there are some, although I do not live at one. They are called "pudas" in Finnish. But I'd remember the original song is on LP "Bayou Country".

How many Finns does it take to change a light bulb? None. Once they see it's made of glass and round, they will try to open it and drink what's inside!

What's the difference between a Finnish wedding and a Finnish funeral? One less drunk!

I categorically condemn and disassociate myself from any and all Finn-ophobic comments made on this or any other thread

The English have their Irish jokes. The Swedes have their Norwegian jokes. Everybody has his Polish jokes. It seems that many people assert their national pride by demeaning other nationalities. In my opinion, this is a misplaced expression of anger and frustration resulting from the universal miseries of lower back pain and constipation.
