Part 13 of "The Unfortunates" sees Connor going to the hospital to speak to Mildred, the mother of Connor's surprise child.
GO TO HER (Mildred’s in hospital)
Mildred
It’s cold here in this ward
I wish they’d boost the heating.
I’ve prayed here every day
And hardly slept at night.
Can you help me nurse, I’d like some water
I haven’t had a drop to drink all day.
Come to think, a cup of tea is better
And if you bring a pen and paper I could write a letter.
Hurry now, the time I spend is boring
Over there that patient won’t stop snoring!
Here’s my dinner at last, but not worth eating
I’d rather have a takeaway and then I’d stop my bleating!

Ah Mildred, it’s good to meet again
But Mildred, the time has passed so fast.
Mildred
Poor Annie, she isn’t very well.
Connor
Tell me now, where can I now find her?
Mildred
Swiss Cottage.
Connor
I’ll find her and assist her.
Mildred
Find her now.

My child must be quite grown up?

Connor

As much as I am able.

The food grows even colder.
