Every day I wonder what I’ve done.
She hasn’t been in touch.
I’m not having fun!

Catherine
I’d stop right now if I were you.
I’ve never seen you look so blue!
You’re not going to find romance,
You’ll never get together,
Not a chance. Not a chance!

You’ll forget her in time
And the things that you said:
“Who was that blonde” and
“Before she gets away”.
You won’t get far simply because
You never knew just what she did and who she was!

Oh Catherine,
I am lost now for sure.
(Connor comes into earshot)

Catherine
A man lost in love with just one regret,
And he’s just one thing on his mind…

Mark
Rosette, Rosette!

Catherine
His mind is going and a blur.

Mark
Longing for her by my side.

Catherine
She won’t call.

Both
It was all just a dream,
Just a dream after all.
Connor (interjections)
She never told me of this man,
She’s been cagey. If it’s true.
Has she a secret I don’t know?
I do too. I do too.
My mind’s in a whirl.
I must confess all to you.
(They spot Connor)

Mark
Excuse me Mr Glee,
But aren’t you Rosette’s dad?
I haven’t heard from her
And naturally I’m sad!
I’ve only seen her once
But want to see her more.
I want to prove my love
For her, please let her know.
A love to both I’m sure,
A love I hope to grow.
(Connor returns to Rosette)
