Ok, without any of this, the song will not make sense to you: I bought a gerbil. The little bugger does the craziest things, and she knows how to get out of her cage. I wrote this song as I chased after her in my room yesterday. (The gerbil is the one laughing in the chorus)
When I found that she had gotten loose and hid inside my closet
speaking words in gerbil-hee hee hee
and then I try to catch her when she's standing right in front of me
but she gets away-hee hee hee
hee hee hee, hee hee hee, hee hee hee, jubilee!
chewing all my stuff up, hee hee hee!
and then the broken minded gerbil living in the cage escapes
I search for an answer-she's part ape
And when she digs so loudly, there is still something that shines in her.
So I still sleep til tomorrow- hee hee hee
I wake up to the sound of digging, her cage is right on top of me
how the hell'd she do this? Hee hee hee
