The Lyrics

Long time news anchor, Walter Cronkite passed on over the weekend, he was 92
The Cronkite name,
Is one of fame
High marks, they came
To Walter, Cool Walter, (Walter)
Fair with his views
And all the news,
He paid..his dues, did Walter, (Walter)
Cool, (Walter)
Dear, (Walter)
Walter, (Walter)

Justly journal man,
In the early years, began
Radio, till TV's ran;
No anchor better than,
Great Walter, (Walter)
Broadcast the death of Kennedy, (Walter)
M.L.K. and for Bobby, (Walter)
Softly shed a tear for me..and you, (Walter)
(Walter)

With voice so cool,
Rich, vocal tool
There, from his stool, spoke Walter
Cool Walter, (Walter)
At night, or dawn,
When news was on
We'd count upon..our Walter, (Walter)
Walter, (Walter)
Walter, (Walter)
Walter, (Walter)

Walter was a star,
Never settled for just par,
Raised the journalistic bar
In the sky's a bright new star, that's Walter, (Walter)
Not satisfied to give us less, (Walter)
Showed dramatic tenderness, (Walter)
Made his word on CBS..ring true, (Walter)

Cool, (Walter)
Dear, (Walter)
Walter, (Walter)

Cool, (Walter)
Dear, (Walter)
Walter, (Cool, Dear, Walter)

Walter retired a little bit before I was born, but I've heard good things about him nonetheless. 5s.

Now I know I like this - you gave Walter two tributes - bet ya liked him as much as I did. See my comment on the other Cronkite parody you published today. Fine work. Any more hiding out there that I haven't run across yet?

Farce - FYI - I tuned in late to your "Gamma" parody yesterday. I left you votes and comment. Might be worth your time to see what I had to say;.

Although Cronkite was before my time, I heard so much great things about him. I've also enjoyed your other Cronkite tribute as well! The OS really fits the tribute as well. May he rest in peace! Well executed and eulogized tribute! As Mark says, he will be missed! 5's for condolences!
