The Lyrics

...ted williams, i mean
in a chilly ol' pot he is goin'
in a mist of dry ice, frozen style
put away, so no bakin' in sunshine
he'll sit tight in that vat quite a while

what a day it will be when they thaw him
they'll be anxious to make him brand new
what's the odds that ol' ted's gonna rally ?
will that ol' boy, we loved, make it through ?

he's been cooled a long time without warmin'
what a treat when he shows up some day
if that great battin' eye hasn't vanished
for the red sox, he'll suit up and play

do you think our ol' pal has been leakin' ?
oh how messy that problem would be
i sure hope that the staff keeps on checkin'
on the man who means so much to me

what a day it will be when they thaw him
they'll be anxious to make him brand new
what's the odds that ol' ted's gonna rally ?
will that ol' boy, we loved, make it through ?

he's been spared...i'm glad he wasn't squandered
he's been chilled to a cool ten below
done by experts...its right up their alley
and they sure ain't about to let go

what a day it will be when they thaw him
they'll be anxious to make him brand new
what's the odds that ol' ted's gonna rally ?
will that ol' boy, we loved, make it through ?

This must be what Ted really wanted. If it wasn't, the freezing process would never have worked, 'cause he could get pretty steamed! Johnny: I've already written "Splendid Grade of Splinter" (my 400th parody, 400, get it?), so you may have to rely on someone else. Yoidy: No, a different, but also very expensive, New England legend.

Ted Williams? I thought you were talking about Ted Kennedy!... I think of the two, Williams has the better chance of coming back to life. Ted never batted .555, but you just did.
