DFKI Bremen has created the second Robonaut for the ISS and is currently running it through module testing. Named AILA, the female designed robot with AI is intended to be operated through telecoms unless those systems fail. In that event, AILA would take over autonomously and continue tasks, augmenting the human component aboard. The robot learns as it works. The Bundeswehr meanwhile has its own autonomous killing machines but is considering if a robot in fem-form might be able to control other weapons. Since female Bundeswehr soldiers, like all female soldiers worldwide, face male discrimination and sexual abuse... the female robot would seem to both fill a gap and eliminate those problems. Here's to AILA with an MG-3!!! A female soldier robot would be especially infuriating to Islamist terrorists and enemy military forces :)
