The Lyrics

Blonde Valkyrie was not the only female Werwolf to operate in Germany. Ilse Hirsch started first after the US Army occupied Aachen and appointed a Non-Nazi as Mayor- Oberbürgermeister Franz Oppenhoff. His photo was not published and his name was kept a secret. But Himmler had the SS investigate and through Hirsch's knowledge of the area (she was a BDM Sgt- Hauptgruppenführerin), Operation Carnival was started with training at Hülchrath Castle. The unit was commanded by SS Untersturmführer Herbert Wenzel with 4 other men (3 SS + 1 HJ) plus Ilse. They were covertly dropped into Belgium on March 20, 1945 by a converted B-17 from KG 200 (a Dornier Do-200). Once landed they killed a Belgian border guard. The men moved sperately from Hirsch who got to Aachen on her own and independently contacted local BDM to determine Oppenhoff's location. The men followed and Wenzel along with two other men posed as Luftwaffe pilots trying to make it back to German lines. Once Oppenhoff was alone outside, Unterscharführer (Junior Squad Leader) Josef Leitgeb shot him in the head and everyone made a break for it as US Troops responded to the cut phone line. Hirsch tripped a mine and was wounded in the knee while Leitgeb was killed. The surviving group was later tracked down and prosecuted in 1949 with exception of Wenzel. Isle was released and lived to become a mother of two boys. living just a short distance from her crime which she regarded as "the most momentous in her life" with pride...
Female Werwolf came through
Allied lines

Mayor of Aachen not approved
Collab tryin’
Nazi defyin’

Himmler couldn’t stand it
Traitor was tracked down
Assassins were ready
Do-200 parachuted them down

Female Werwolf came through
Allied lines
In time

She led two
She led two
She led two
To murder Oppenhoff
Hit mine trip-wire
Suffered injury
Though caught, was let off

Villainy
Female Werwolf came through
Allied lines
(to kill for Germany)
