Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

The Supermarine Spiteful was the logical successor to the Spitefire line as was the Fw Ta 152 to the Fw-190 line. It initially used a Spitfire Mk.XIV with a new laminar flow wing and upgraded Griffon engine and achieved 483 mph. Orders were placed for 1945 production to counter the new German advanced piston fighters Do-335 and Fw Ta 152 which could reach speeds of 475-477 mph to almost 50,000 ft height and were heavily armed. The British also faced the Me-262 and He-162 jets with more German wonders in the pipeline. So, the production Spiteful would feature a new fuselage, all-around view canopy, a Griffon 101 with 3-stage supercharger with 5-blade prop, and be armed with 4x 20mm cannon! The Mk.XVI reached 492 mph officially and one unofficial run reached 504 mph! An initial order was placed for 188 of them of which 19 were completed before the war ended and 16 of which had flown. It was cancelled due to the emerging jets of the time, the British having the Meteor and Vampire as well as a design for the Ace and the Attacker. So, it saw no combat, but it was a beauty. A naval version was the Supermarine Sea Fang that could reach 475 mph...

You've earned a Malcolm, too. -- With that song of mine -- You used it endlessly -- 'Bout 300 times. You and Barry do truly astound -- Though I think you two are -- Putting me down. You've earned a Malcolm too --- With that song of mine!

Huh? What's SJH screaming about, Rob? What's a Malcol -- Wait, a minute, did you get to 1000 parodies; is that what SJH is talking about? Well, congratulations!

On the Author's page it takes 10 Malcolms just to be added and then each parody is +1 onward. I have reached 1000 Malcolms today in 10 mos and 14 days straight! I have 312 SJH IPASOY parodies. JAB has 391 :D

Actually, Rob if you look at your number in the author's index, you have exactly 1.000 Malcoms. I do believe one Malcom equals 1000 parodies, Right now I have 44 posts but only .044 Malcoms, or 44 milli-Malcoms if you will. Think about it, if you look at the Author's list, the first guy to reach 1000 parodies was probably Malcolm Higgins, so that milestone was named after him

CML, I stand corrected, it takes 10 SUBMISSIONS to get into the Author index and then 1000= 1 Malcolm! So yes, I made 1 Malcolm :) I looked at the decimal point as equivalent to Euro comma substitute!!! TY, Rob. Hmm... Security code is p55. Here is the real XP-55 Ascender aircraft: http://www.personal.kent.edu/~ccarey/pages/images/p55-2.jpg

Did a little research on the authors, RA, and yes, Malcolm Higgins was the first to reach 1000 parodies ... by a wide margin, I might add. He had reached that total by the end of 2003, before our current front runner, John Barry, had even started
