Recently, tyrant military leader of N Korea Kim Jong Il died of a heart-attack at age 69 after 17 brutal years of dynastic rule in which he has terrorized the South and his own people... slowly starving them to death under imposed sanctions due to nuclear bomb making determination. He won against the West with two detonations in 2006 and 2009 and had enough enriched uranium to make 6-8 nukes for the N Korean arsenal. Kim Jong Il always felt that he needed a credible deterrent to Western invasion and so sought to demonstrate to the world that he could build nuclear weapons despite crippling sanctions. But the N Koreans have paid a heavy price for his rule and defiance- the nation is still starving and oppressed even after his death as young son Kim Jong Un takes over. No one knows if the N Korean military will support him or appoint a regent in his place. Regardless, no joy in the West as his son's position remains the same. If anything, N Korea is even MORE unstable than a few days ago. Hard to believe, but true. S Korea is on alert and the North just launched another missile as demonstration of power.
