The Lyrics

Yesterday I covered the Nobilta-TWM SLG 36/15 rifle which uses a combination of HK G-36 and AR-15 parts to make a new rifle. Today, I give you the Nobilta-TWM 10mm Nobile pistol that is meant to enter the German high-cost precision handgun market for the rich. Korth makes the most expensive and refined revolvers in the world while Korriphilia makes exotic auto-handguns like the $7000 Odin's Eye made of Damascus steel!!! Nobilta-TWM has mated essentially a HK SOCOM lower frame to a new upper that uses a AR-15 rotating bolt and recoil action. The body is made of exotic metals combining stainless with aluminium, chromium, titanium, and gold plating! It's accuracy is excellent and despite what some call an "ugly" non-blued look is quite comfortable to handle (except for the weight). It seems to require a rich handler that is strong enough to wield the weapon and fire it. More of a show-off piece, Nobilta is confident that it can market the gun just like its SLG rifle...

In most of those countries where this pistol would be destined, only the wealthy with connections can obtain the licenses necessary to own one. They are better off than in India, where the rich can obtain gun permits, but the only handguns available are manufactured by the government: a crude Webley knock-off in .32 Long for about $1500 US, a poorly finished .32 pocket automatic for around $2000, and a cheaply made .22 revolver, for $900 or so. Ordnance Factory's own web site advises not to use Indian made ammo in these guns, especially the .22. Most owners limited to 25 rounds a year, of which you can only have 10 at one time.

Very intriguing pistol. The design reminds me of the MBA Gyrojet. To quote Dawn of the Dead: "The only person who could miss with this gun is the sucker with the bread to buy it."
