The Lyrics
In 2008 Libyan leader Col. Gadhafi purchased advanced bullpup rifles from FN in Belgium- the 5.56mm NATO FN-2000 modular weapon family. But he only purchased 367 of the weapons which were intended for arming of his elite guard and bodyguards. the weapons were stored in various locations so the Rebels stumbled upon some in their advance and put them to use against Gadhafi. For his part Gadhafi abandoned his Tripoli compound where many gold guns were captured and the FNs were left behind. Libyan Army's best rifle but none seem to have been available in the fighting. The Rebels were also the first ones to provide DIY grenade launcher attachments to the rifle. It can take a GL-1 40mm, but some appeared to be mated with Soviet GLs...
