The Lyrics
The Lumiere pistol is the weapon of choice for The Legion against the Mercury Men that have invaded a Pittsburgh office building, building a Gravity Engine to draw the moon into the Earth. With little time remaining, Jack Yaeger and office worker Edward Borman must defeat the evil Mercurian "Men of Light" and reverse the Gravity Engine to put the moon back into place. The Lumiere is their main weapon agianst them. It resembles a Colt .357 revolver with a gravity barrel shroud and which fires 6 Mercury Pins each containing enough power for 144 total shots (24 each)!!! From the SyFy short mini-series "The Mercury Men" Season 1 Eps 101-110.

If I could wish away one invention, so that I would never be made again, it would be the gun, Great parody Rob! 555! :-)
Even if the gun was gone, the ancient Chinese had rockets and flight with man-carrying kites, even a Magpie early cruise rocket bomb!!! So, you would not have prevented rocket artillery and aircraft with rockets, or cruise missiles!!!
