Parody Song Title:

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

The Fw Ta 152 was technically the end of the Focke-Wulf line- what was to be the Fw-190D-15. But designer Kurt Tank was so honored for the FW-190 series (especially the D-series) that the D-15 became the Ta 152 (TA standing for Tank). Dora 9 in the song parody refers to the Fw-190D-9, also used for Me-262 airfield defense. These piston engine aircraft often prevented loitering Mustangs and Spitfires from "bouncing" the German jet on take-off or landing (usually the latter case). Of course, German airfield flak gunners by 1945 were so zealous that they fired at anything that approached the airfields, even their own aircraft, so the Doras had to paint red stripes in the underside of their wings for recognition!!! The Fw Ta 152 never really made it into the war. Only 50 were actually built with another 170 on the assembly lines. A few became operational in 1945 with JG 301 and yet they scored 7 kills for a loss of 4 and never lost a single Me-262 in the airfield defense role. It is still remarkable that so few of the H-models meant for high-altitude fighting managed to fight at low-level against the Spits & Stangs at all. The C-model meant for that job was coming along but not fully operational.
Fighting in a Fw Ta 152
’cause it’s airfield defense time

Gotta stop the "bouncers" from gettin' through
I’m combat flyin’
Mustangs are loiterin’

Make a run, you can’t have it
You’re flyin’ around (in circles)
Tryin’ to jump a Me-262 jet fighter
With my twin 20mm MG-151s, I’m gonna shoot you down

Fighting in a Fw Ta 152
’cause it’s airfield defense time
…either me, or a Dora 9

I got you
I got you
I got you
I flamed you somehow
And I don’t care
If you go into an uncontrollable spin
You’re gonna nose down and hit the ground

You are defeated, mission completed
Fighting in a Fw Ta 152
’cause it’s airfield defense time
