Parody Song Title:

"Soviet Sub, The P-2"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

Post-WW2, the Soviets tried to copy many German weapons and the P-2 is odd in that they tried to combine the Type XXI U-BOAT with the V-1 and V-2 missiles plus German midget subs in one design! It never made it past the blueprint stage although the three former weapons were copied separately!
Soviet sub, the P-2

To launch V-1s and V-2s
5400 tons
16 torpedo tubes, no guns

Payload modules inside it
R-1 Scunner missiles- 12
41 Swallow cruise missiles
9 midget subs on inner shelves

Soviet sub, the P-2
Grand design

10 kts cruise
100 day use
100 crew
5 internal pressure hulls
Not much room to spare
And much too bulky
Said the German engineers!

Soviet sub, the P-2
(Each weapon developed separately)
