"Super Arrow Much Improved"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

The CF-105 was the greatest interceptor of it's time but was axed by the Canadian Government under suspicious circumstances. Now, the Beaverworks proposes the improved 6th Gen model XL-105 Super Arrow aimed at restoring Canadian military aviation rather than purchasing the F-35. Here are it's features below...
Super Arrow much improved
XL-105

Flex materials to be used
Bending, twisting reality
Ensures super-maneuverability

Canards and thrust vectoring added
Twin engines thrust profound
Third ramjet engine between them
Mach 3.6 times the speed of sound

Super Arrow much improved
XL-105
Multirole type, much hype

Multi-bays used
5000 rpm gun spews
90,000 ft zoom
Autonomous in combat mode
Pilot to supervise there
Systems monitor need
And has an invisible cloak!

Rebirth and need
Super Arrow much improved
XL-105
(Spirit of Malton will succeed)
Note: Program cost estimated $1 Trillion

Saw that movie with Dan Akroyd. Sad story, all those jobs lost. Amazing airplane designed without the use of computers. Hope the ending is true and that someone smuggled at least one away. USAF ordered Lockheed to destroy the first stealth bombers (Flying Wing) back the 1940's. Bought the cumbersome B-36 instead. Now, the Jimmy Stewart movie "Strategic Air Command" was cool, but a B-36 was slow and left miles of contrails that even a rookie MiG pilot could have seen from half way across Russia.

Repost from parody "202": Just learned this today. RL-202 was scrapped like the rest of them on Death Row. On page 125 of the book "Avro Scrapbook" it shows in color the removal of 202's nose even as 204's engines are being removed. It did not escape. 201 through 206 were scrapped. Some suggest components from each were shipped by sea to UK to cobble together a 207. I'm not gonna touch that one!
