Original Song Title:

"I Put a Spell on You"

Original Performer:

Screamin' Jay Hawkins

Parody Song Title:

"The Weird Customs You Do"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

Weird customs around the world...
The weird customs you do
Bizarre finds

The Czechs are fools
Easter whipping women is silly
Willow branches to spark fertility!

In Poland a strange annoying habit
When the plane touches the ground
Everyone starts applauding
To the surprise of foreign crowds

The weird customs you do
Bizarre finds
Since historic times

USA too
Phil's shadow*
Finland throws boots**
Austrian men pelted with cinnamon***
Austria finger-pulling dare
In Japan, giant penis festival glee
Queen's Birthday in Oz- TWO, not One!!!****
* Groundhog Day
** Considered athletic!
*** If unmarried by age 25, by 30 switches to pepper!
**** Celebrated in June & September. She was born in April!

Ah, still ‘’spellbound’’ with the Jay Hawkins song, “I Put a Spell on You”, but that doesn’t matter, it is still “magic” in the making, for each one that you have did, done, and do, this one is certainly “No exception” “555 for this one!!” In fact seeing as it is about weird customs, I could see how “Wicca” as voodoo (original song is based) is called and why it’s ‘’customs’’ are VERY peculiar, not to mention EVIL!! If I can recall correctly, I believe that I did a parody based on that title, quite some time ago, and it’s title was “Voodoo Doll” my takeoff of “Rubber Ball” by Bobby Vee. But, I am planning on returning, with some new ideas very soon, the most recent ones I am currently brainstorming right now are but 3 songs, (parodies) and the first is by Juice Newton, “Queen of Hearts”, the second is by “Primitive Radio Gods” “Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth, with Money in My Hand”, and the third is from “John Frizzell’s” “My Little Box” from the movie soundtrack and movie too, called “Ghost Ship” Ideas I am toying with, but may or may not use for these parodies at the current moment are: Queen of Hearts, will be based on the use of Tarot card decks, and possibly the practice of using them. Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth, with Money in My Hand ‘’might’’ be based with the movie “THE HUNGER GAMES” ‘’May the odds be ever in my favor if I choose to write that one!’’ 😂 and last, but certainly not least! The “Ghost Ship’s” “My Little Box” will be based on the DreamWorks Production movies, ‘’The Ring (2002)’’ and “The Ring 2 (2005) Starring Naomi Watts and the very adorable! (at least from 2002-2005 he was!) 😊 David Dorfman. Who knows? that particular parody might make the front page of “THE DAILY ASTORIAN” 🤣😂 Plus, Two parodies by the band "The Cars" just might/may be coming, I will leave those a surprise for you all, as to which ones, and when they will come! 🤐 So, be sure to keep a sharp lookout for them soon!! 👀

^ Very weird. I hope it doesn't become a custom.
