The Lyrics
My 500th parody this year! This is a cryptid very similar to the Sasquatch, Big Foot, and Southern Skunk Apes. It was first sighted in 1971 in Missouri and became known as the Missouri Monster or Momo for short. It stands 7' high, has enlarged hands and feet, is covered in black matted long hair, and stinks badly. It travels by water. Nevermore Toys made an action figure of it in the '70s.

Put off a stench that'd make you puke
Rotted flesh smell
Stagnant water mix hell
Picnickers dreaded it
It let out a weird howl
Advanced towards them

I see a few tall smelly critters with long, matted hair on the Missouri side, but nothing to make an action figure out of. Ever see "The Legend of Boggy Creek"? Similar hominid, (the Fouke Monster) from Arkansas.
Nope, but I'll look that up. I was disappointed that the "Man-thing" movie was such a POS! One of my favorite odd comic characters from the '70s.
