The Lyrics

Back in the 1990s there was an online challenge to play Deconstruction. The rules? Go into any establishment and with a concealed tool belt, start to take apart everything you could as fast as you could. Usually, this was in restaurant restrooms. One would quickly remove the stall doors, paper towel dispenser, toilet roll dispenser, and then go to work on the plumbing. All screws and bolts were either kept as souvenirs or flushed, thrown away. Same for small parts. It was vandalism and if you took a picture and got it online, then the more points you earned. Workplace deconstruction was an added plus. But after initial popularity, the authorities started to track down the vandals. It's 2016, so most deconstruction now is performed by homeless people. Add basic theft too of TP, hand towels, hand soaps, and mirrors! I participated in deconstruction for fun a few times as amatuer. Boys will be boys.
Old fad: remove the screws
Vandal time

Deconstruction abuse
Targets choosin'
Parts removin'

Started as Restroom bandits
Doors of stalls came down
Dispensers, then the toilets
Sink faucets... went to town
(Shocked what employees found)

Old fad: remove the screws
Vandal time
A crime

Removed screws
Hinges too
Plumbing U
Nothing was off-limits
Parts here and there
Needed replacing
Wore a concealed toolkit!

A dirty deed
Old fad: remove the screws
Real crime
(Above-door Restroom signs missing!)
