The Lyrics
The British Enfield EM-2 (aka Janson Rifle) was a post-WW2 bullpup design that took German tech with intermediate rounds and came up with a rifle that fired .280 ammo (7.1mm). The British Army picked it up in 1951 but Churchill pulled it from service, opting for NATO standardized 7.62x51 mm in the Belgian FN FAL rifle which went on to serve 90 nations! However, the EM-2 influenced the return to British bullpups with the SA-80 which at first would use a new 4.85 mm round. Again, NATO standard meant adopting the 5.56x45 round!!!

My politics may be right-wing, but I shoot long guns left handed. Bullpups just ain't my thing. British troops are unlikely to have any firearms experience before enlistment, so they can more easily adapt.
