Israel is hosting the 1st Panzer Division in southern Israel for joint urban warfare exercises! They brought 5 armored vehicles and 110 troops. This was once unthinkable! German ties to Israel are stronger due to Merkel's apology for the Holocaust, Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen's expansion of joint military R&D, and the Deutsche Marine Patrols of Lebanese waters for arms smuggling.
