The Lyrics
I think Patrick might want to check this one out. Germans used many foreign arms in WW2, but since the German Army initially limited SS arms, they bypassed by using captured factory guns. The ZK-383 was one of these arms. A versatile SMG used from the '30s to '60s.

I've seen photos of these. Bipod sounds like unnecessary weight. I had one of those Czech .380 pistols with the tip-down barrel. Rather hefty recoil for a relatively heavy gun made of steel.
The bipod, quick change barrel and weighted bolt adjustment made the SMG suitable as LMG too!
