Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

After the disappointing Russian canard MiG 1.42/1.44/MFI/39 was abandoned due to Sukhois revolutionary Su-27 family that includes the 27, 32/34, 37, and experimental FSW 47... MiG decided to go with a new interceptor based on the MiG-31 Foxhound that succeeded the MiG-25 Foxbat. MiG decided to enlarge the airframe, use new materials in construction, and simply use speed to defeat stealth. At Mach 4.3 max speed, the MiG-41 Foxhunter (presumed codename) will simply outsee, outfight, and outrun any US or Euro fighter. The plane will use multiple AESA radars and fire Beyond Visual Range- Ultra hypersonic missiles. The old SR-71's unofficial Mach 3 at 80,000 ft performance (reality was Mach 3.2 to 104,000') will be shattered for an operational military aircraft. The MiG-41 ceiling remains classified. Russia also has the cash to upgrade 100 MiG-31s to a higher standard and is proceeding with that too. The aircraft will have IOC of 2020, maybe sooner...
MiG-41 is new
About time

MiG-31 Foxhound base is used
Frame enlargin'
Speed is alarmin'

MiG-39 abandoned
As MFI was a let-down
Fighter dominion with Sukhoi
New role as interceptor was found

[Mach 4.3 standard breaks new ground]

MiG-41 is new
Makes great strides
With pride

High altitude
Uses BVRUs
Multi-AESAs too
Sets a new high standard
US aware
Of new technologies
(But)is B-2 prepared???

[Does Obama care?]

By 2020
MiG-41 is new
Makes great strides
(Will reach IOC)
Note: B-2 at risk already from Russian anti-cellular radar networks linked to S-400 missiles and can still be intercepted by the Flanker family, the Fulcrums, and the Foxhounds. The F-22 production was halted at 120 a/c and cannot beat the Flanker family that has IRST as well as EO sight systems and BVRs as well. The Foxhunter will see even farther and its missiles are hypersonic. F-22 cannot match altitude either and F-35 still not operational as it is plagued by bugs and similarly is underequipped to deal with these new techno threats, especially over Russian or Chinese airspace.

For those that like aviation news you might want to google the new joint Swiss/German Suisse/Rheinmetall Tu-150 UAV which is a fixed wing with tri-rotor hybrid and which carries a pod with IR and EO sensors. Lots of potential there.

Just a little note that I was disappointed that MiG couldn't really recover from the fighter competition loss long ago. Sukhoi now dominates, so they went the interceptor route using an existing platform to modify- a large one. Will be a hell of a plane but in limited numbers- maybe 100. MiG also is playing with UCAVs and has the Skat.
