The Russian T-95 tank (NOT Chinese T-95) was a project started by the Uralvagonzavod Bureau as Objekt 195 due to replace aging lesser Russian tank types as part of a modernization program. Then the role changed to augmentation, and then finally- cancellation. It was to be a 55 ton tank with a 1650 hp 12N360-X turbo diesel engine capable of 50 mph! The main gun would be a 152mm borrowed from the secret Black Eagle tank program with a single 30mm coaxial gun and ability to fire a ATWG missile through the smoothbore. The crew of 3 would have been protected in a sealed chamber in the turret and armor was to be a mix of laminate and active with exterior Anti-Helo missiles, blinding laser, dazzlers, and an additional EO sight. Very advanced, it was at first delayed and then canceled b/c of rising costs. It is believed that a new T-99 is in development that borrows from the T-90, T-95, and the Black Eagle. The T-95 reminds me of the small turret version of the German Panther from WW2...
