"Howard Camping Now Through"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Harold Camping has recently passed away (Dec 15, 2013) after falsely setting dates for the rapture of the Church 12 times in his life!!! I HOPE he's in a better place (can't help but wonder about his theology too)!
Harold Camping now through
about time

Rapture predictions were not true
His date settings
Were aggravating

Public couldn’t stand it
His methods unsound
Word says to be ready
At ANY time the trumpet could sound

[“NO MAN knows the day nor hour” found]
Matthew 24:36-44

Harold Camping now through
Was about time
He died

12 time fool
Dates not cool
There are rules
For the Church to follow
But he didn’t care
About prophesy
His words were hollow

[Tricked gullible]

A phony
Harold Camping now through
Was about time
(Knew nothing about eschatology)

I also hope he's in a better place as well, I mean he did make things interesting. Also his last two predictions were followed by the deaths of Osama and Quadafi on the same months it happened, coincidence? If only he made another one...

Why? Israel gets exact dates/times, the Church only seasons and signs of the times. The Fig Tree parable is about Israel being reborn and that was in 1948. THAT generation would see the end. A Biblical generation can be either 40 years or 70 years= 1988 or 2018. Seems like the latter as things changed drastically in 2001 with 9/11, then the 2008 crash, and then 2011 events and moving towards financial collapse for the West in the near future and confrontation with China and resurgent Russia. Add Islamofascism, terrorism, and asymmetrical warfare... and the end isn't so far away. Camping just blew-it by making any predictions and going against scriptural verses that are clear that the Rapture can happen anytime. If a date was given believers would live like the devil until the last day and repent and so would the world. The only thing I personally believe is that the Rapture will occur during TISHRI (Sept/Oct) during the High Holy Days and most likely on Rosh Hashana with the blowing of the shofar (ram's horn). Possibly also Yom Kippur as Day of Atonement or Sukkot. Many Fundamentalists believe Rosh Hashana for the Rapture, Day of Atonement for the Beast to invade Israel and stopping of the daily sacrifice in the Third Temple, and Sukkot for Armageddon/The Second Coming. The Millennial Rule is 45 days after Armageddon.

Harold Camping was the inspiration for several good parodies, including one or two of my own. I predict another false messiah will arise to set a date for the end of the world.

I was a fraud, charlatan, con man. The world is so much better off without me.
