The Lyrics

3-D printers can now be used to make components downloaded from the Internet into non-metallic guns that actually work as proven by Cody Wilson's new Liberator pistol tested in Texas recently. It fired a .38 round, had a misfire, and then exploded with a rifle round... but Wilson made another modified one that fired several .38 rounds successfully. Airport security services, all law enforcement, ATF, and Congress want the weapons banned b/c they are part of the "Arm the People" Movement and lack regulation... except a requirement to bolt on some metal strips to make them detectable to X-ray machines. Problem is that the metal strips can be easily removed and unlike the Glock myth with metal barrel, magazine, and other parts... 3-D printed guns do not have metal and can still fire. Wilson named his gun Liberator after the WW2 pistol made by GM and air delivered in France. It was not a success by any standard so he messed-up there. The Germans laughed at that pathetic weapon. And also this tech is not new again. The USAF and NASA invented machines to fabricate stealth and shuttle components in a chamber w/o human and robotic help. Lasers, vacu-forming, and other procedures produced strange shapes for classified programs. And before that Otto Herbst working on special firearms for the German Army made a plastic gun and other non-metal pressure experimentals that were found at the end of WW2. Germans even toyed with flak gas guns from Austrian tech from 1936!!! So nothing really that new at all... FYI
3-D Print Gun breaks rules
Congress whines

Wilson did the unthinkable
Design applyin’
.38 firin’

ATF can’t stand it
Tech gainin’ ground
Guns can be deadly
CAD files uploaded for components sound

[His new “Liberator” breaks new ground]

3-D Print Gun breaks rules
As Congress whiles
Made for crime???

Texas shoot
People root
Was a hoot
“Arm the People” Movement
Strides here & there
21st century
Pissed law enforcement

[Will the House ban it?]

Printing spree
3-D Print Gun breaks rules
As Congress whines
(Regulation? Is there a need?)

Note: This topic is scaring a lot of different people just as the Glock myth did with X-ray machines when it was introduced. But unlike the Glock, this one is true. One could put the components in with a bag of toys like legos and go undetected, even visually. If the guns are fabricated, then NO, they can still be identified visually with an X-ray by human eyes, so it is not 100% undetectable. And the rounds it fires are metallic standard, so how would you get the bullets on a plane? Anyway, I brought up the German tech b/c a wood and bakelite gun type using a pressure system would also work. I've never seen a photo of those weapons nor their schematics, but rightfully assume that the US Army is not going to allow people to manufacture such weapons at home. They are not classified, but buried or lost on purpose. Still, Cody Wilson and fans see the Liberator as the first in a long line of "Arm the People" (ATP)Movement weapons. This weapon is also being called the "NAR-01" or New Age Revolution-01. Expect more oddities to be weaponized at home.

These guns could be made cheap enough to be, in practical terms, disposable. Glass or ceramic bullets would solve that problem. I've shot primer powered plastic bullets from plastic .38 & .44 cartridges. Not a viable weapon, but the principle is sound. A single shot disposable handgun, especially since I assume the maker would disguise it as something other than a gun, would be far less complicated to make than a single-use 35mm camera. Perhaps a pen-gun. Illegal, but the purposes of such a weapon will be illegal anyway. Most FP-45 Liberators were never fired. Few would have survived the 10 rounds included in the package. I understand that the prospects for the future of 3-D printing include fabricating components of metal. I think this can already be done via computer controlled lathes and milling machines. One commentator speculated it would be a way to bring back short runs of classic pistols such as the Colt Python. 3-D printing could be used to fabricate hip replacements and other bone structures. If the powers that exist to obstruct the future would get the hell out of the way, we would have far less need of preparation for Armageddon.
