As North Korea continues to escalate its provocations with missiles trained on the South, US bases and/or Japan... the US sent two B-2 stealth bombers for a fly-over of South Korea in a show of force to the DPRK. Kim Jong Un immediately claimed that "the time has come to settle the score", referring to his anger over Western and hostile nations sactions against the North and threatening military exercises. All 4 hotlines to the outside world have been cut and Northern forces are on full alert with weapons trained on the South. Is North Korea bluffing once again or are we nearing a resumption of the old war? The show of the B-2s which can carry nukes is a sign that the US is deadly serious about any loose talk of war, particularly nuclear war. The North has a few nukes but no ability to deliver them via rocket yet. They could ship a dirty bomb or low-yield A-bomb by sea to an enemy of the US that "might" be able to smuggle it in to a port and detonate it... but that's it for now. S Korea will unfortunately take a beating if the North fires tens of thousands of conventional missiles at Seoul and military targets. Japan is within range too... but of course, Pyongang would be obliterated by counter-missile fire from US subs and bomber aircraft that could also carpet-bomb with conventional dumb bombs.
