Having now heard the original song as performed by Screaming Jay, I think I'm getting the joke. The OS by SJH is an absolute POS (lol). It's horrendous. Really, it's one of the worst things ever impressed onto a circular sheet of vinyl
As John said-ditto from me too. And you're right, the OS is a POS!!! That is why I like to use it as a base song b/c the possibilities for improvement are endless- same for WHP!!!

For the uninitiated, WHP is "Wild Honey Pie", quite possibly the most insipid and uninspired Beatles song ever. It almost seems that Lennon and McCartney intentionally did this to test how slavish the pop music press really was to the Beatles
