"Australian Anthem for 2007"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Howard the coward lay dying
Along with his lead bureaucrats
The rest of the country did celebrate
The end of this lowly bog rat

Farewell to the rodent forever
Farewell to his numbskulls as well
Farewell to his well known deceitfulness
I'm sure he'll be welcomed in hell.

Singing tooroolie ooroolie addity
Singing tooroolie orroolieay
Singing tooroolie ooroolie addity
We're bound for happier days.

Nine years we've been living in purgatory
Not knowing what's next up his sleeve
Some hoping he'll save us from poverty
And soon there will be a reprieve

Tho' most of us knew Howard's trickery
They gave him a chance anyway
He practiced his greed and his callousness
And drove all his people away.

Singing tooroolie ooroolie addity
Singing tooroolie orroolieay
Singing tooroolie ooroolie addity
We're bound for happier days.

He followed George Bush into pillages
While watching from Kirrabilly
Protected in opulent luxury
on his flat cinematic tv.

The Tampa we'll always remember
And his promise of no GST
His obsession for places like Villawood
And deporting Australians to sea.

Singing tooroolie ooroolie addity
Singing tooroolie orroolieay
Singing tooroolie ooroolie addity
We're bound for happier days.

Bin Laden outsmarted the three of em
George Bush, Tony Blair and the rat
A realist who's living a nature way
Unlike pompous aristocrats

The promise of maintaining interest rates
To keep us all out of the rain
reducing pollution, and safety nets
all quickly flushed right down the drain

Singing tooroolie ooroolie addity
Singing tooroolie orroolieay
Singing tooroolie ooroolie addity
We're bound for happier days.

DKTOS (Don't Know The Original Song) but a female wombat parody song writer? Let me tell you, you have som fellow outbacks here that are soo gonna welcome you (but I beat them to it) unless they are already too pissed on Fosters to comment today. Their names are Luke, Kristof and Stuart. Be afraid, be very afraid! ;-P

DKTOS, but anything that spoofs John Howard is OK with me. Then again, if Howard's politics are ass-backwards and down under, does that make him all right? No, it makes him wrong-squared. Where have you gone, Edward Gough Whitlam? A nation turns its lonely eyes to you, woo-woo-woo... (No, I'm not going to do parodies for all the Prime Ministers of Australia, the way I did for all the Presidents of the United States! That would be Chifley a waste of time! I've got to Holt the line somewhere.)

I was going to say, Pamela, let me introduce you to a bloke by the name of Michael, but I see you've met already - nicely crafted and great pacing - 555

As an ex-pat living in London, I can watch Johnny Boy's antics from afar...makes ya proud to be an Aussie, doesn't it? I hated the guy when he was leader of the opposition, and nothing's changed. Great parody. 555
