"The Stoned Jamaican"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Doo bongs emerged from de dealer's goods
And sorry I did not smoke "dem bot'
For I lacked de dollars, if I could
I'd be knocked down, covering my head with a hood
Sucking the bong until I had to choke

I… Looked at the other, full of flair
And being perhaps in better shape
Because it was classy, and used by Cher
But den saw the first, just gassing dere
Its porn was sexy and was engraved

And bot' on dat table, equally blazed
A thief would help me sneak dem back
Den, I'd smoke dem bot' to kill my brain
Quite knowing the way, which I'd be slain
Sprawled all out from way too much crack

I shall be telling dis with a sigh
Dis punks wages outrageous hence
Doo bongs emerged from da goods
And I… I'm not the stoned Jamaican guy
Dus dis poem has bored indifference

Good fences make good neighbors. And good parodies like this make me laugh my ass off. Bit o' trivia. In the early days of public libraries, they were called "free" libraries. The library in Marlborough, NH--and I'm not making this up--is the Frost Free Library.

yes, I love the poem - very thought-provoking - and so I instantly admired the title sub, Matt, that obviously started this ball rolling - and a weird and woolly tale - not sure of the meaning of the last line, but it has a feel just like the OS...er, OP - 555

Stuart: He didn't have enough money, thus the whole poem of pondering which bong to purhase left him bored, with nothing to smoke drugs with

ah, so it's the bong not taken, er the bongs not taken - makes more sense now - still love the matching of mood to the OP

For some reason Robert Frost annoys the hell out of me, so this was an amusing improvement on the OP. :-)
