A feast of fall while the summer rays shine
Costumes and robes, are they displayed too early?
And candy corn made in Twenty-ought Nine
A haunted house with shamrocks and Saint Patrick
Shares the same week with Saint Valentine

China disease
Our holidays are cancelled 
A mask we wear
Is now meaning something new
A blight contrived?
Or night no one survived?

A rented hall, with dangers artificial
Is refuge from the true horrors outside
Will we be closed by paranoid officials?
Statistics true, or has somebody lied?
True menace nigh, next week is the election
