Parody Song Title:

"Pump Up The Jam"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Here's why I combined a negro spiritual hymn with a 1989 dance song.
(chorus)
Pump Up, Pump up the jam
While your feet are stomping
And the...jam is pumping
And it has the crowd jumping

Just pump it up a little more
To get the party going on the dance floor
'cause that's where...the party's at
You'll find out if you just do that

(repeat chorus)

Made in Nineteen eighty nine,
Technotronic made this song
And with the other string of hits
the group's career did not last long

(repeat chorus)

I know where a place to stay
Get your booty on the floor now
I know where a place to stay
Get your booty, make my day

Huh?

I think he's just singing one song to the tune of another, like when I rewrote "Paint It Black" to fit the tune of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". It doesn't work on a screen, and in this case doesn't even fit. Conclusion: worse than pointless.

I think you're right Princess. I had to combine a hymn with a dance song I grew up listening to.
