Song Parodies -> "Bush Caused Haiti"

Original Song Title:

Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Bush Caused Haiti"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

In my opinion, George Washington was America's greatest President. He had to be...he had no predecessor to blame for everything that went wrong. One of my amiright brothers claims that the statute of limitations on blaming George Bush doesn't expire for another fifty years. But this one note symphony continues to be played over and over by the administration, Congress, and media. Or, as they might say it themselves...

Bush caused Haiti's tragic earthquake!
Bush caused the tsunamis too!
Bush caused the Potato Famine - now we're jammin'
And all smart folks now are thinkin' - Bush shot Lincoln!

We blame Bush for everything bad,
Blaming Bush is all we do.
Each disaster that befell us - it was Bush, the networks tell us.
Bush killed the dinosaurs, too!

We say Bush caused Nine-Eleven!
It was all his evil plan!
Bush alone caused the recesson - we're confessin'
And we shout out very bravely - Bush caused slavery!

Don't dispute us with the facts, dude!
We are right and we don't care!
And to make sure you're agreeing, we'll control what you'll be seeing
When we get Fox off the air!

Exaggeration is the lifeblood of satire. I just wish I could write poop parodies instead. ;D

Don't know the original song, but I can appreciate the satire. I remember when Bush was blamed for the AIDS epidemic in Africa. I doubt even Bill Clinton was up to that task.

Oh yeh, he was a regular Beelzebush! Gets blamed for everything, even for those poor unhappy sacks who decided to fly into the Twin Towers! He had his faults (LIKE THEY ALL DO!!!), but I know I felt safer with that cowboy there....

Bush caused the Potato famine, but Quayle turned it into a Potatoe famine, ya know.

Great parody as usual. W. may have been unpopular and not that great (my favorite Republican president was Abraham Lincoln, closely followed by Gerald Ford), not to mention the butt of jokes for years to come, but he doesn't deserve to be blamed for everything. All the blame he really deserves is for ruining the image of the US, the poor response to Hurricane Katrina, starting an illegal oil war in Iraq and sending the economy into the toilet. He did do some good, such as his valiant effort to find Bin Laden, getting some of his henchmen captured, and playing a big role in getting Saddam Hussein jailed and executed. 5s.

Zank heaven for OMR.

GWB is knocked for Katrina (which was botched by state & city too), but mobilized quickly for the 2008 Haiti hurricanes and the 2004 SE Asia tsunami relief.[BR]I concur with your exaggerations; they clarify your satirical intent.[BR]I'd change "the tsunamis" to "those tsunamis", "the Potato Famine" to "that Potato Famine" and "everything bad" to "ev'ry bad thing" for emphasis. 455
Violet Baudelaire - January 21, 2010 - Report this comment
I had to blame him for practically everything. George Bush doesn't really care about black people, white people, or everyone else.

It's easy to knock the 43rd, so I'll refrain from adding to the list. Here's 555 nucular warheads for ya. Don't shoot 'em all in one place, now. It'd be rebundant.

Thanks to all of you here on the best damn site on the 'net. BJM - you without a doubt our best editor and I never take offense at any of your suggestions. ;D

Good spoofin' OMR, I knew somebody was causing all these problems.

Might have been told this already Barry, but if you were trying to make line breaks with your [BR], you did it wrong. The letters were correct, but instead of using brackets, use the less-than and greater-than characters (above the comma and period characters on the keyboard).

@ McKludge: Thanks, this was my first try after getting a bogus tip.
How' this?

Your parody is one of the few times it's OK to be a Hait'er!
Phil Nelson - January 22, 2010 - Report this comment
You can blame bush for a lot of things, but not everything. Good parody
Tommy Turtle - January 22, 2010 - Report this comment
So *that's* why I make all those typos! It's Bush's fault! Who knew? ... sly devil!

BUSTED! ... Even the POTUS is blaming the Republican upset in the Massachusetts Senate race on Bush. Uh, let's see. ... the voters were soooo angry at that Repub president, that they booted out a Dem and elected a Repub???? .... Seriously warped thinking, O -- and *seriously* good parody, OMR. 555+.

btw, I have a *former* friend who thinks the same way, even in spite of evidence I've offered that our current econ troubles go, not back to Bush, but to Clinton, and originally to (Dem) Woodrow Wilson in 1913. Not gonna plug em, though.
