The Lyrics

My music hobby is performing old songs (mainly 30’s through 70’s). I write funny parodies for some of them. I change the song’s serious theme to something funny but retain original lyrics and rhyme as much as possible. This one got started by changing the song theme from "a white sport coat and a pink carnation" to "in a large black cloak where the vampires hang out" .
In a large black cloak
Where the vampires hang out
I’m all dressed up for a trance

In a large black cloak
Where the vampires hang out
I’m seeking blood and romance

You said two hundred years ago
To the vampire dance we’d go
Now you’ve splattered all my dreams
You’d rather bite some necks it seems

In a large black cloak
Where the vampires hang out
I’m in a trick or treat mood
A love at first bite mood
