Song Parodies -> "Ketchup on your Cornflakes"

Original Song Title:

"Tears on my Pillow"

Parody Song Title:

"Ketchup on your Cornflakes"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

OK, so you need to read "Ketchup" as though it has one syllable... In case you don't have children (or haven't got them this book - in which case I'd heartily recommend it), a brief explanation: "Ketchup on your Cornflakes" is a book which lets you mix things around... so "Jam on your head/toes/in your bath" are all permutations. My youngest has just got into this one, though she usually reads it to me rather than the other way round :-)
"Oh, Daddy, read to me"
I said I'd take a look
And so you handed me
A rather silly book:
Ketchup on your cornflakes
Milk on your chips
Read to you...

Put talc in lemonade
Or toothpaste on your head
Put teddy on your toast
Or jam inside your bed
Ketchup on your cornflakes
Milk on your chips
Read to you...

It's a cute idea, this book is quite a joy
I hope it don't give bad ideas to my little girl and boy

Put custard on your toes
Or salt on apple pie
They laugh and laugh at those
I wish that so could I
Ketchup on your cornflakes
Milk on your chips
Read to you...

Awww...very sweet, Philbo. Just pronounce it " 'chup ", the way my wife likes to do to be funny!

Cute. How about a Teresa tune: "Ketchup on Your Horned Snake"?

Or how about a parody of John Denver's song "Sunshine On My Shoulders" called "Ketchup On My Boulders" ?

This was real cute, Phil...honestly adorable. I guess a bit of that now and then won't hurt me too much. 5's...JD - how about "Mustard on my toilet seat"?

Yeah, even I get a bit cutesy every so often... this has been running through my head for months (maybe even years, I guess), but only when I'm reading bedtime stories... so it never got wrote down before.
