Song Parodies -> "TweedleEd and TweedleDave"

Original Song Title:

"Tweedledum and Tweedledee"

Original Performer:

Lewis Carroll

Parody Song Title:

"TweedleEd and TweedleDave"

Parody Written by:

Phil Alexander

The Lyrics

A shame that the original is so short.. anyway, for those who don't know, the Miliband brothers are currently front-runners in the race to be Leader of the Opposition, i.e. head of the Labour Party... with both sensing victory according to this Mirror article. The current issue of Private Eye had a cartoon of them as Tweedledum & Tweedledee, which I guess is whence the inspiration for this came.
TweedleEd and TweedleDave
Fought (without ammunition)
For TweedleEd and TweedleDave
Would lead the Opposition

Both made sly jibes about the other's
Modus operandi
Which made us wonder if the future's
Quite so Miliband-y

Two brothers? I remember John Major's brother...Sergeant Major! Keep me current on events in the U.K. (where I live, U.K. means the University of Kentucky). ;D

Very clever, and in"dee"d, not "dum"b!!!

OMR - you mean Terry Major-Ball? Quite the.. er.. eccentric. And (fortunately) never in a position to run the country.

Mark - and a very clever comment, too :-)

Hi Phil - It was a bad pun...Sergeant Major is a military rank. I enjoyed watching both John Major and Tony Blair during Prime Minister's Questions from the House Of Commons (it's broadcast on cable here in America). ;D
