"All of a sudden"? There have been Republicans here all along, and they've been (with no sense of irony whatsoever) screwing the voting for some years: having a pig-ignorant, petty, foul-mouthed idiot for a president obviously emboldened those with the same mental traits. It's a sad state of affairs, but they'll get bored of it eventually and leave.
