Song Parodies -> "(Weapons of the) Holy Fakirs"

Original Song Title:

"Kit Kat Bar"

Original Performer:

Kit Kat Commercial

Parody Song Title:

"(Weapons of the) Holy Fakirs"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

Fakirs were Indian Holy Men that were not allowed to make or use traditional Indian weapons like swords, curved daggers, matchlock powder flasks, battle axes, and katari thrusting daggers. So they improvised and made some odd weapons like the quoit circular razor ring (one twirled it with a finger on the inner smoothe side before throwing it), double-ended horn dagger blades, hidden crutch blades (screwed into a normal looking stick), and the steel open palm mace (essentially a metal hand baton)!!!
Quoit razor blades,
quoit razor blades,
very odd weapons of Holy Fakirs

Horn dagger blades,
horn dagger blades,
very odd weapons of Holy Fakirs

Hidden crutch blades,
hidden crutch blades,
very odd weapons of Holy Fakirs

Open palm mace,
open palm mace,
very odd weapons of Holy Fakirs

As I was telling my daughter this morning, what this site needs is minutiae about low tech weapons from India. Alert! Alert! Load up the score with ersatz 5s. Mmmm, Kit Kat. Arrrgh!

I remember the days when you could buy giant Rampuri switchblades from Dehra Dun, india. $2.50 + $2.75 airmail postage. 2 weeks delivery. Fast! Wish I had saved one. Can't get those anymore. The Chinese stuff is much better quality, but the hand-made Rampuris had a charm of their own.

My favorite knives were Boker, Eickhorn, and Puma. Had gravity and Anti-Gravity pata knives, AKM bayonets, Ka-bars, Gerber, Benchmark, butterfly, survival, egress types, rescue, shop made, and even made an ice sculpted ice blade. The FS stiletto was cool and I once made cat claws out of my mom's ceramic tool blades. Prison vets use bent belt buckles and wrap the leather straps around their wrists.
